I’ve been lucky enough to visit Switzerland—mostly Zurich, but a few side trips to Basel and Lausanne— four times over the last few years, since my oldest, dearest friend Sonya lives there. Zurich is excessively beautiful, and my amateur photography does not do it justice. And, though I’d generally rather be somewhere warm in the winter, if you have to be somewhere cold, Zurich at least sells hot wine on the street.
